I have only recently photographed horses, so this is one of my newest galleries. There are two galleries in this section - 1st is Onaqui Wild Horses of Utah. The 2nd gallery is wild horses of The Outer Banks, North Carolina and rescued Wild Mustangs that reside at Return to Freedom in Lompoc, CA. As you view both galleries you will notice the differences in their sizes and coloration.
Our history as a nation is intertwined with the wild horses. It is most unfortunate that our government is managing an aggressive and ongoing removal policy for all wild horses. There are more wild horses in captivity today than in the wild. They are rapidly disappearing. The wild horses that reside on government land that is managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) have a much more serious plight for their future than the wild horses in the Outer Banks of Norther Carolina or on the Maryland and Virginia shores of Assateague and Chincoteague. See each gallery for more details.
