The bird life in The Antarctic is abundant and amazingly many types of birds come back to the same nesting site after thousands of miles year after year to raise their chicks. There are sea birds, like Storm Petrels, Prions, Terns, and Gulls; or birds of prey, like Skuas or Striated Caracaras; or Albatross of many types like Black-browed, Wandering or Sooty; or more sedentary birds like cormorants and shags.
